"All on Four" Implants

One or more missing or damaged teeth can have significant repercussions, not only aesthetic. Gum inflammation, migraine, wear or movement of other teeth, bruxism (teeth grinding), digestive disorders or pain in the mandibular joint… In many cases, implantology is highly recommended. A dental implant is the lower part of an artificial tooth, which replaces the root of a damaged or torn tooth. Consisting of a 10 to 15 mm rod made of biocompatible material (titanium or zirconia), the implant is screwed into the jawbone and functions as a shock absorber between the tooth and the jawbone, and serves as an anchor point for a dental prosthesis or a dental crown . Dental implantology allows you to regain effective and comfortable chewing, as well as better speech. It is all the more recommended to replace one or more missing or damaged teeth, or even an entire set of teeth, as it is suitable for almost all patients. The placement of an artificial dental root preserves the bone without affecting the neighboring teeth or the jaw, and allows the attachment of a dental prosthesis that will replace a tooth identically, in terms of its function and aesthetic appearance. It precedes the placement of the prosthesis by several weeks, to give the body time to colonize the implant, like a bone graft.

Zygomatic implants

Zygomatic implants offer an alternative to edentulous patients who are dissatisfied with their removable prosthesis (gag reflexes, phonetic disorder, instability, discomfort, etc.), who have severe resorption of the maxillary bone (upper jaw), and who want a fixed solution with a rapid protocol without grafting, allowing them to regain teeth in 24 hours.

This technique was developed in the 1990s by Dr. Brånemark. It involves using the bone that forms the cheekbones (zygomatic bone) as an anchor point for the placement of dental implants.

Their success rate is high (95 to 100%) and comparable to conventional dental implants. A zygomatic implant is longer than a conventional implant. It measures 3 to 5 cm. The cheekbone bone is of excellent quality, it does not resorb. Its bone volume is generally sufficient. Each cheekbone can receive one or two implants. Zygomatic implant surgery is considered extremely complex, it requires high maxillofacial and prosthetic surgical experience.

Dental veneers

Dental veneers are used to modify the aesthetic appearance of teeth in order to regain a more harmonious smile. Dental veneers can in fact modify the color (shade) and/or shape of the tooth, hide small defects on a damaged tooth, etc. Alignment defects can also be corrected by the installation of dental veneers.

There are several types of dental veneers that differ depending on the materials used to make them. The budget and the level of requirement expected in terms of results are the two main criteria for choosing dental veneers.

Ceramic dental veneers

As its name easily suggests, the ceramic dental veneer is made from ceramic. There are several types, including felds ceramic found in Lumineers veneers. Note that we also often talk about porcelain dental veneers.

Composite resin dental veneers

Composite resin dental veneers offer an alternative to ceramic dental veneers. Less expensive, they are quicker to put in place (for the same number of veneers), but offer a less successful aesthetic result.

Gingivoplasty

Gingivoplasty is a surgical procedure that consists of locally reshaping the shape of the gum of one or more teeth without altering their height. Performed by a dental surgeon, this aesthetic procedure allows you to regain a more harmonious smile and a balanced gum line. Depending on the patient, this technique can be performed using a scalpel or a diode laser, providing greater operating comfort.

Gingivoplasty can be performed in many situations to reshape gum tissue, including:

  • Gum malformations

  • A localized swelling or bump

  • Gingival hyperplasia secondary to taking certain medications

  • Gingival hypertrophy or lesions secondary to treated gingivitis

  • After a gingivectomy that did not produce suitable results

  • Following orthodontic treatment to correct the smile line

  • For the correction of a gummy smile

  • After stabilization of periodontal disease that has damaged, necrotic or deformed the gum.

Botox

Botulinum Toxin (or botulinum toxin) more commonly known as BOTOX® has become an established and world-renowned brand for good reason: the product simply works and acts as a treatment for wrinkles.

That's because when you concentrate, squint, or frown, the muscles in your face contract. After years of frequent muscle contractions combined with other environmental and lifestyle factors, wrinkles form and become permanent. Anti-wrinkle injectables such as Botox® are made from a natural protein that rests the muscles in the upper face for several months.

Botox works on the upper areas of the face: forehead wrinkles, frown lines and crow's feet.

It can also be used as a preventative measure to avoid the formation and appearance of wrinkles .
